Hounslow's Family Hubs
All families need support from time to time to help their babies and children thrive, whether that’s from friends, family, volunteers, or practitioners. Our ambition in Hounslow is for every family to receive the support they need, when they need it, through Family Hubs.
Family Hubs are an effective early help system for families with children aged 0-19 or up to 25 with SEND (Special Education, Needs and Disabilities) to connect with a range of services that can address their needs at the earliest opportunity.
Family Hubs will make it easier for Hounslow families to get information, advice and support on a range of issues through a single point of access. Family Hubs will put children, young people and families at the centre of a range of services delivered in a holistic and joined-up way.
Family Hubs in Hounslow will be:
- More accessible – through a universal single point of access, a clear local family hub offer, recognised and understood by families.
- Better connected – joined-up, wraparound services supporting families with a wide range of needs, identifying needs early and considering the whole family.
- More relationship-centred – build on families’ strengths, drawing on and improving relationships, including building networks with peers to address underlying issues.
