Parent and Carer Panel
We want mums, dads, carers and grandparents to help us shape the Family Hub services, by joining a local Parent Carer Panel. The panels are friendly groups of parents and carers who come together every other month to share their experiences and provide feedback on service developments.
There are currently three Parent and Carer Panels, one for each Family Hub.
What happens at the panel
We will provide tea, coffee, pastries, a free crèche and a place to meet other families. We invite services and local decision makers to come and talk to the panel and share their plans, so you can share your thoughts. This could be in areas like breastfeeding, parental mental health, parenting support and health visiting services.
In the first year we will be focusing on services from pregnancy till children start school, but this will expand over time.
Panel members will learn about local services and can share their knowledge with other families.
Who can join the panel
Mums, dads, grandparents or carers who have caring responsibilities for children aged 0-4 years, or parents expecting a child.
