Weekly Session Schedule for Brentford Family Hub East

For sessions marked with CAMHS, OT, SALT, SEND or PAIRS’ here is what they mean:
CAMHS - Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service

Monday 13 January and Monday 17 March

Family Information Drop in Session
Time: 12.15 to 1.15pm
Notes: This session is run by Hounslow’s Family Information Service (FIS).
Session details: A drop-in session for parents to ask questions regarding childcare, how to pay for childcare and starting school nursery.

Mondays

Speech and Language (SALT) Consultations
Age: 0 to 5 years
Time: 9am to 5pm
Notes: Referrals are strictly via the Family Hub and Children’s Centre teams. For further information please contact the Family Hub.
Session details: For families of children who are not already referred to the NHS Speech and Language Therapy Service.  This is an opportunity for families to meet and understand the role of a Speech and Language therapist and get advice on how to support their child’s communication.

Occupational Therapist (OT) Consultations
Age: 2 to 5 years
Time: 9 to 11am
Notes: Referral is strictly via the Family Hub and Children’s Centre teams. For further information please contact the Family Hub.
Session details: For families of children who are not already referred to the NHS Occupational Therapy Service. This is an opportunity for families to meet and understand the role of an Occupational Therapist, and get advice on how to support their child’s development through play, self-care skills (including dressing and eating) and fine motor skills.
Stay and Play with SALT and OT
Age: 0 to 5 years
Time: 1.15 to 2.30pm
Session details: A fun, stimulating and safe environment for parents and children (0-5 years) to take part in together. If you have concerns regarding your child’s development, please speak to a member of staff.

Advice and Support
Age: 0 to 19 or 25 years with SEND
Time: 3 to 5pm

Session details: Family Navigators are based in our Family Hubs to support families and professionals. They act as a ‘bridge’ between the community and Family Hub services. If you require a Family Navigator's support with or for a family.

Monday 10 February

SEND Transport Co-Production meeting with Parents and Carers
Age: Parents and carers of YP aged 13 years and over
Notes: Booking Required
Session details: We would like your support in co-producing the future of School Travel Assistance for Post-16 SEND Students. If you have a young person with SEND aged 13 and above, currently in receipt of Travel Assistance, we’d like you to join us. Please e-mail your interest to consult@hounslow.gov.uk.

Tuesday 21 January

Parent Carer Panel
Age: Parent and carers welcome
Time: 11.45am to 1.45pm
Notes: Booking required
Session details: We are looking for mums, dads, grandparents and carers to come along and hear about Family Hub services, share their experiences and help shape Family Hub services. The groups are friendly and informal and we always provide refreshments and a crèche . If you would like to attend, please contact Clare McKenzie at the Reach Foundation

Perinatal Appointments
Time: 9.30am to 1pm

Advice and Support
Age: For families with children aged 0- 19 years (or 25 years with SEND)
Time: 10 to 12pm

Sensory Room Bookings
Age: 0 to 5 years with additional needs
Time: 10 to 12pm
Notes: Booking required. This session is not facilitated by staff, however, staff are available if needed.
Session details: A space that provides multi-sensory resources to support a Child's sensory needs, to enable them to engage in learning.

Family Store
Age: Items for children aged 0 to 5 years
Time: 1 to 3pm
Session details: Donations from one family to another. This includes clothes, toys and equipment. Collection and drop off's are welcome
Family Links (5 week course - Tuesdays 25 February to 25 March)
Age: Families with children aged 2 to 5 years
Time: 12 to 2pm, 
Notes: Referral needed. The deadline for referrals is Friday 14 February.

Wednesdays

Antenatal Clinic
Time: 9am to 2.30pm
Notes: By appointments only. Run by West Mid Maternity Department

Baby TLC
Age: Non walkers
Time: 10 to 11.15am
Notes: By Invite Only. Delivered by the PAIRS team
Session details: A drop-in baby group for non-walkers and their parents/carers to play together, talk, listen and connect. For further information contact the Family Hub

Notes: By appointment only.
Session details: Supporting families of children with SEND 0-25 years via appointments, once per week at each of our Family Hubs. Book an Appointment or speak to member of staff.

Dad's Play
Age: 0 to 4 years
Time: 12 to 1.15pm
Notes: No booking required. Strictly dads and male carers.

Thursdays

CAMHS Consultations
Age: 2 to 5 years
Time: 12 to 5pm
Notes: By appointment only.
Session details: Parents and carers can gain support regarding their child’s emotional wellbeing and early relationships, from the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) Under 5s team. A member of the CAMHS team can listen to and support parents/ carers with any queries. The team can also explore whether any further support may be required from CAMHS or other services. To book an appointment or for further information please contact the Family Hub.

Toddler TLC
Age: 1 to 2 years
Time: 9.30 to 11am
Notes:  Delivered by PAIRS team. Referral to this group is strictly via health visiting or the PAIRS team. For information contact the Family Hub. No Session on 18 April.

Infant Feeding Drop-in
Time: 12.30 2.30pm
Notes: No session 18 April
Session details: Infant feeding clinic run by West Middlesex Maternity Department

Non walkers
Time: 1 to 2.15pm
Notes: No session 18 April
Session details: A relaxed and welcoming space to meet other families, ask questions about your babies: development, weaning, breastfeeding and play together. Each session ends with a short song or story time. 

Fridays - Baby Massage (5 week course)
Age: Babies 6 weeks to 6 months
Time: 11.30am to 12.30pm
Notes: Booking Required - please email the Family Hub. Delivered by PAIRS team.
Session details: A 5-week course to learn how to use nurturing touch to help you and your baby feel more relaxed together. This is a 5-week course with a maximum of 6 families per group.

Online Courses and Workshops

Childcare Questions online drop-in sessions for parents - January 16 (1.45 to 2.45pm) and 29 (10 to11am), February 11 and 21(10 to 11am), and March 4 (1.45 to 2.45)
Monthly online drop-in sessions for parents to ask any questions they may have about childcare. This is an open session where parents can drop in anytime within the hour and ask a question, pop it in the chat or request a call back if personal details need to be shared to check eligibility. Nearer the time, the link to join will be shared on this page and on the London Borough of Hounslow - Children and Families Information Facebook page

  • Please note spaces are limited at all sessions. If the session is at full capacity, you will not be able to enter.
  • If you wish to attend one of these sessions, please ensure you are registered with Hounslow's Children's Centres & Family Hubs. If you are unsure about being registered or if your details need to be updated, please speak to a member of staff.
  • Services are for families with Children 0 - 19 Years, or up to 25 years old if they have special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
  • Age ranges are specified against each session.
  • Sessions may be cancelled at short notice due to training or staff absence. We will try to inform you 24 hours in advance if possible.
