Home-Start Peer-to-Peer Support Programme

At Home-Start we know the early years make the biggest impact and that’s why we are here to give parents and carers a supportive start so that children can thrive.

Our peer-to-peer programme in Hounslow offers support to parents with children aged 0-2 or mothers in the third trimester of pregnancy. Families are carefully matched with a trained volunteer who provides support through weekly home visits of 2-3 hours over a period of 3-9 months.

Our experienced volunteers walk alongside families, offering practical and emotional support. Volunteers share their own parenting experiences, supporting and empowering parents to access other activities and services within their local community.

This non-judgemental, compassionate and confidential support is tailored to the individual needs of each family, helping parents to build confidence and resilience.

Being a parent is never easy. Without support, families can feel overwhelmed or isolated.
