Triple P for Baby

Triple P for Baby aims to support parents for a positive transition to parenthood and the first year with baby, promoting sensitive and responsive care in the perinatal period. Parents actively participate in a range of exercises to learn strategies to develop a positive relationship with their baby, promote their baby’s development and help teach their baby new skills and behaviours.
The programme is delivered via group and individual sessions.
Four group sessions are delivered to a small group of parents, followed by four individual sessions to assist parents with independent problem solving while practising the skills at home.

Who is it for?

  • Parents at the transition to parenthood or with a baby up to 12 months of age
  • Parents presenting with mild emotional health concerns.
  • Parents not receiving support via the MECSH programme or through the Family Nurse Partnership.
  • Parents who are able to commit to all eight sessions.
Research outcomes indicate programme participation can significantly enhance child and parent outcomes.
