National Breastfeeding Helpline

The National Breastfeeding Helpline: 0300 100 0212
The Helpline provides support and non-judgemental, evidence-based information on breastfeeding that UK parents really value and trust. It offers a 24 hour service, 365 days a year. Existing web chat, social media support and language lines in Welsh, Polish, Bengali and Sylheti are available from 9:30am.

The service operates a voicemail service, and the Drugs in Breastmilk Information Service (DiBM) through which pharmacist volunteers answer questions about drugs and medication from 8:30am via email or Facebook message.

Anybody seeking breastfeeding information and support can now call the Helpline day and night to speak to a team member trained by the Breastfeeding Network and the Association of Breastfeeding Mothers. Helpline team members have their own breastfeeding experience and are ready to support callers at any stage of their infant feeding journey.
