Next Gen Programme (Secondary) 12 to 16 years

Next Gen is part of the Department of Education funded HAF Programme created to ensure 12-16 year olds are entitled to benefits related free school meals have the opportunity to participate in exciting experiences and access to spaces to work out and get food while they are there.

Join us each week, for a series of engaging gym sessions designed specifically for 12 to 16 year olds. These sessions are not only fun and interactive but also cater to those eligible for free school meals. An Introduction to the gym. Our experienced trainers will guide you through a series of introductory exercises and provide valuable tips to help you feel confident and comfortable in the gym. Participants will also be able to come and enjoy the use of our swimming pools. *Gym session can be accessed from 12pm 

Each session will provide four hours of activities, qualified instruction and a healthy lunch.

The Ville Summer Camps welcome young people aged 12 to 16 and provide an exciting and inclusive environment. Participants will enjoy basketball sessions led by experienced coaches, helping them build confidence, develop skills and improve teamwork. The camp offers a great balance of learning and fun, giving young people the opportunity to develop their abilities while making new friendships.

We offer a small number of Helper spaces for young people who want to support our staff team and play an active role in delivering our camps at Gunnersbury Park Sports Hub. These roles are perfect for those who enjoy being part of a team, encouraging others and helping create a positive environment for participants.

Our Next Gen cooking sessions help young people develop lifelong cooking skills by preparing a main meal and a side or dessert from scratch. Participants will learn essential kitchen techniques, food safety, and how to create tasty, balanced meals, while taking part in a range of engaging food-related activities. A fun, supportive environment to build confidence and independence in the kitchen.

This is a short course for young children to learn basic CPR, using an AED and first aid. The course will have a certificate at the end of the session, as it is a recognised qualification.

Join Little Chefs Academy for a creative 5-day painting course designed especially for beginners aged 10–16 years.

Join EduKicks this summer for an action-packed martial arts programme designed to build confidence, discipline and physical fitness in a fun and inclusive environment. Led by internationally qualified, DBS-checked coaches, children will enjoy dynamic martial arts sessions, team challenges and an introduction to the foundations of martial arts. Heston in the Community welcomes young people to an exciting and action-packed summer programme full of sports, creativity, adventure and unforgettable experiences. Young people will enjoy a wide range of engaging activities including, Football and multi-sports, wellbeing sessions, Mentoring and personal development support, Music studio experiences, Arts and crafts, Tie-dye and slime making, Karaoke, quizzes, and gaming room, food preparation, trips to thorpe park and sports stadiums.
