Grandpa Poseidon - Walled Garden, July 22, 3 to 4pm
A kid is on holiday in a seaside town. A seagull is stealing a chip and Poseidon is sat at a bus stop staring at the ocean. It’s a story about being somewhere that feels new, about being scared of change, about talking, listening and helping someone find their feet in a new landscape. Storytelling, with songs, and post-it notes. It’s a story about feeling a bit lost, and about finding your way again. It’s a story about a seaside town, a retired god, and a kid. Tickets from £12.50.

Recycled Plastic Craft Creation Workshop with Nadine Foster from The Gorgeous Plastic Incentive, Wednesday 30 July, 1.30-3pm, Hub: children 12 years up can enjoy creating stunning innovative designs all from recycled plastic (keyrings, coasters, jewellery and more). £10 per person. Family Sing with Me-Time Pop Choir leader, Natasha Hendry, Tuesday 5 August, 2-3.30pm, Hub: bring the family to a guided, fun singalong session with local professional singing teacher. £10 per adult, drop-in (children aged 4 up free).

Mosaic Making Workshop, Wednesday 13 August, 10.30-12.30pm, workshop by Service Yard: Come and make a beautiful mosaic to take home for indoors or outdoors. All equipment provided and grouting demonstration. Age 8 yrs up. Booking via Eventbrite £10 per person.

Canoeing with Active 360, Thurs 7 and 14 August (sessions at 10 and 11.30am): Children aged 8yrs and up and adults are welcome to book on to one of the two timed slots. Paddlers are expected to walk a short distance to either collect or drop off their canoe. Booking via Eventbrite £18 per person.

Dr FREG and the Fruit & Veg Mysteries, Monday 11 August, 4pm, Walled Garden. One off performance of this entertaining (and informative) healthy eating show. Aimed at 4-12 year olds. Produced by Tash Gavin and I Know Why It’s Yum, Mum! (2012). Booking through The Arts Centre.

Basketball drop-in sessions with SUPA, Tuesdays 19, 26, Wednesdays 20, 27 August, 10.30- 11.30am: 6-12 year olds, meet on courts, guided by coach Mario and friends for an hour. Drop in, £3 cash per participant per day.

The Big Bad Wolf - Walled Garden, Thursday 28 August, 2 to 4pm. Come on a musical journey of plotting and scheming with folklore’s most notorious villain - the Big Bad Wolf. Tickets from £13.50.

Family and Children's Tour - The Musical Museum

Join our dedicated Children’s Tour guide for a specially crafted tour of the Museum.
At the end of the 45 minute tour, children enjoy a sing along with The Mighty Wurlitzer.
Suitable for ages 5 to 12 years old. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
£15 for 1 adult and up to 2 children, £25 for 2 adults and up to 3 children.
