Mind in Ealing and Hounslow

Support offered for children with special educational needs and disabilities

Mind in Ealing and Hounslow works to promote mental wellbeing in the community and offer the following services:

Pathways - aims to provide an independent and impartial information, advice and signposting service to mental health users who are transferring from Secondary Mental Health Services to Primary care services (GPs) as part of the Shifting Settings of Care Initiative.  The service is a One-Stop-Shop providing a range of support to this group such as: welfare benefit, housing, debt management, peer support and access to other support services.

The lotus centre - a day centre of individual experience mental health problems and considered by some to be ‘hard to engage’. We aim to break down barriers so that our users do not feel socially excluded. Users forge friendships and create a sense of community, which helps them to gain confidence to interact with the wider community.

Advocacy - to support people in addressing their concerns, asserting their rights and helping them gain access to health, legal and social care services.
