Little George's

Local Offer

Little George’s is a 38 place friendly and caring day nursery, which provides a stimulating, warm and safe environment where children are given the opportunity to participate in a variety of experiences which include; Forest School, Pals, Letters and Sounds, Physical literacy sessions, parent activity days and outings.

At Little George’s we provide ample opportunities for the children to freely explore the setting and resources. All our equipment has been obtained by a reliable source and are age appropriate. The resources that have been set up in the setting is a reflection on the children interests to which gives the children the confidence to lead topics and focus activities within the setting. This will contribute to the children’s daily planning, to which parents are supported and encouraged to also contribute in every aspect of the nursery.

We promote the importance of working together with our parents to develop the children’s learning where by using the EYLog system, this allows us to publish observations and photos immediately for the parents to view.

At Little Georges we have an enthusiastic and dedicated team of high qualified and experienced staff members who are also first aid trained. The policy and ethos of our setting is inclusive in line to our duties in relation to the Equality Act 2010. Reasonable adjustments will be made where appropriate to ensure we can meet the needs of children with SEN and disability. We offer full time and part time sessions, where we also offer funded childcare places that are eligible for 2, 3 and 4 year funding. We also accept 30 hours for 3 and 4 year olds to whom are eligible. Our nursery is also registered with a number of voucher companies which can be used to make payments of your fees.

We know the importance of ensuring the children feel safe, secure and confident whilst at nursery, therefor we offer a settling in period to help your child’s transition period run smoothly. Our facilities offers a large outdoor garden space which is accessible to all children throughout the course of the day, within our garden area we have created a nature/forest school area to which the children also have the opportunity to grow vegetables, plants and flowers.
