Tic-Toc Day Nursery
At Tic-Toc Day Nursery, we believe that a child’s most formative years are precious. Our aim is to provide a loving, warm and stimulating atmosphere to enable each child to develop as an individual. We strive to provide an environment within which each child is cared for and educated to the highest standards in her/his most formative years.
Great efforts are made to ensure a full range of activities and experiences so that no aspect of a child’s development is neglected. Most of all we want children to be happy and to enjoy their early years at the nursery and for parents to have piece of mind when leaving their children.
The Tic-Toc Day Nursery is committed to providing all children regardless of sex, race, ability, or religious beliefs with an environment where they can develop as individuals with positive images of themselves and others. All cultures and ways of living are given equal respect and acknowledgement. We reflect this in our choice of toys, equipment, and meals.

- Named SENCO
- Our setting has two designated SENCO’s, Kate Duffy and Charlie Fallon. They are both available to support staff, children and parents. Both have completed the Hounslow SENCO training provided by the Local Authority. The local authority keeps us up to date by providing regular and relevant training such as Speech and Language courses.
We are an inclusive nursery that have an inclusive policy. We encourage staff to work together with the SENCO's and management team to meet the needs of every individual child and support parents.
We have supported children with the use of the Speech and Language tool kit Box of Feelings, PALS and in house ISP'S.
We have had experience in supporting children with speech, language and communication needs (SLCN).
At present we are supporting a child with SLCN through the gradual approach of assess, plan, do and review. The key worker is doing in house activities that has been discussed and decided by the SENCO's, keyworker and manager taken from their speech and language report from their speech therapist.
We have the support of our area SENCO if we have questions or need advice or help. We will use in house ISP’s, which implements targets. We are willing to undertake training or obtain advice from outside professionals/specialists to meet the needs of the children with additional needs accessing our provision.
