Shape, Pattern and Balance - SEND workshop (4-8)

Support offered for children with special educational needs and disabilities

Join Art Jar for a 5-week project where we’ll hunt for patterns, invent shapes and experiment with balance, making lots of different creations from drawings to sculptures. These workshops are designed especially for children with SEND aged 4-8 and their families.

Each week we’ll be playing art games to get us warmed up, learn about different artists and explore different ways of making art, to create a series of artworks based on Shape, Pattern and Balance over the five weeks. The first week we’ll be taking inspiration from patterns in nature or any patterns that you can discover around you. In following weeks we’ll be creating drawings, collages, mobiles and 3D structures towards a grand sculpture in the final week.

The 1 hour workshops will take place via Zoom. Please book your free space with Watermans (online or by phone) and you will be sent a link to the workshops on the day.
