Ofsted rated 'Outstanding' childminder available January 2020 with a 30 hour funded placement. Competitive rates and school and nursery drop off and collection. I have worked with children for over 28 years and have been childminding for over 15 years.
MY PLAY PROVISION - Children are welcomed into a safe and happy setting where they can play with a large variety of toys, books, dolls, dressing up and arts and crafts. We enjoy songs, rhymes, stories, music and dance.
I work with a strong team of childminders to provide good quality daily planned activities, trips and resources. Children benefit from regular sessions at "stay and play" making important relationships with other children and adults. Children can celebrate special occasions such as birthdays - families are invited to join us. We visit the local fire station, meeting police officers at our group and father Christmas at our seasonal party. We have themed days such as Goldilocks and the three bears and jack and the bean stalk, sports day, celebrating national days and occasions. We also have sand, water and tactile play; pizza, sandwich and bread making workshops.
I comply with the early years foundation stage to observe, assess and plan for activities which enhance the learning and development of each child in my setting.
We visit the local farm regularly and are good friends with the Farmer who always makes us feel welcome. We've handled lambs, chicks, snakes, lizards, spiders and lots of other amazing creatures - and recently saw a goat kid being born.
LAST SUMMER HOLIDAYS, WE VISITED:
- The local Children's Centre
- Playgrounds, park and water parks
- The local urban farm
- Went on a boat and bus trip
- Went fishing and picked blackberries
- Cooked and prepared for a teddy bears picnin
- The beach
As a childminder our day can be spontaneous and flexible. We may not follow activities as planned as it may suddenly be a lovely day or its snowed. And we will visit parks, playgrounds and other outdoor places unexpectedly. Therefore I ask that you supply your child with the relevant clothing, footwear, equipment and easy to eat and healthy packed lunches to suit all occasions.
I supply fruit, other snacks and water daily.
You would usually bring and collect your child from my setting. However I may be able to be flexible and offer home pick ups/mid point picks ups and school collections.
Parent’s, carer’s and other professional's reviews of my service:
"Thank you for your excellent report which was full of detail and clearly showed how well you knew the child and his needs. I was very impressed with the quality of the report and the information that it provides will be very useful in showing exactly what he can do and what he can be supported to do next"
"Thank you for all you have taught me over the past four years and thank you for taking me to loads of fun and exciting places. I’m going to miss you and all of my friends so so much".
“SETTINGS PERFECT AND IDEAL AS SO MUCH TO STIMULATE THEM. ALSO LOVE THE FACT SETTING NOT TOO STERILE AND FEELS LIKE A SECOND HOME TO MY CHILDREN”
"Thank you so much for your help, support and guidance over the last 4 years. I really couldn’t have wished for a nicer person to help nurture and develop the two most precious things in my life. They will miss you very much as will I."
