Summer: National Citizen Service (NCS)
NCS is a life-changing programme open to all teenagers aged 15-17 to discover who they are and what they can do.
It’s perfect for boosting CV experience, personal statements, and UCAS forms. It’s also an unforgettable experience which builds confidence and independence.
The scheme is divided up into 3 sections:
Phase 1 – Adventure
First up, it’s time for our young people to challenge themselves. Living with their team at an outdoor activity centre, they’ll get to know some amazing people and enjoy some quality time away from home.
Phase 2 – Discovery
Next, they’ll develop life skills like confidence, leadership and communication to boost their CV and UCAS personal statement.
Phase 3 – Action
It’s time to make their mark! This is where their NCS experience all comes together. They will deliver a community project about the issues they identified that matters to them. Plan, fundraise and make a difference!
The scheme runs every summer and often in the autumn half term. Visit the website for more details or to sign up.
Amount A charge between £30 - £50 is required to register depending on how early you sign up All costs during the 4 week scheme are funded by the government
