Advisory teachers work with children and young people in mental health services, in schools and their homes, to improve the mental and emotional wellbeing.

How to refer a child for support
A referral to the CAMHS team, with the permission of the parents or carers, can only be made by:
- The clinicians, within the clinical teams based at CAMHS, that is, the child or student is under the care of a CAMHS professional
- referrals can't be accepted from other professions, schools or parents/carers
