I have vacancies for Keyworkers as/when needed. My recent Ofsted inspection graded me as Good. I am a very flexible Childminder who is also a member of PACEY (Professional Association for Childcare and Early Years) & registered with Ofsted.
I have 10 years of experience working with children and have excellent references from parents past and present as I pride myself on providing an outstanding service / experience for children as well as parents. I work with children of all ages, as I thoroughly enjoy it.
I believe I offer a unique 'home from home' experience. With all children I like to plan a range of activities: exploring our environment, visiting local parks, places of interest. children centres, soft play centres, arts and craft sessions, farms & local libraries. Each week I help facilitate a 'stay and play' session at my local children's centre which is for childminders and their 'looked after' children only, where we always endeavour to make each session a fun learning environment for Children and childminders alike. I always offer an interesting range of activities and experiences for the children I care for, which allows me to meet each childs individual needs and interests, as well as taking into consideration the EYFS.
I work in partnership with parents at all times. I have a warm and welcoming 3-bed house, which I share with my husband, my 12 year old son, small dog and our cat. I live in a very quiet little road with ample free parking and Gunnersbury station only a 5-10 min walk away.
I have a dedicated playroom leading onto a child friendly, secure, enclosed garden. My garden has a child friendly lawn, vegetable patch, fruit trees, sensory area and twinkling fairy lights. I provide home cooked meals and I am passionate about providing balanced nutritious meals. I am enthusiastic and committed to continually monitoring and evaluating the service I provide to ensure I maintain a quality child focused service.
I have a good understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stages and I attend regular childcare training covering a variety of subjects, to keep my professional portfolio up to date.
I have experience of supporting children with special needs including
- Developmental delay
- Developmental Coordination Disorder (DCD, Dyspraxia)
- Speech and language needs
- Downs Syndrome
I am willing to undertake training and to obtain advice from outside professionals or specialists to meet the needs of children with additional needs accessing my provision.
Reasonable adjustments/adaptations will be made, where appropriate, in accordance with the requirements of the Equality Act (2010).
