Family Support Service and FAAST

The Family Support Service offers a needs led provision and the Family Support Practitioners (FSP) work directly with families in their home environment offering parent/s advice and guidance on parenting and devising menus of parenting strategies in partnership with the family.

The aim is to enhance parenting capacity and improve the quality of relationships in the home by promoting confident parenting skills and in turn providing a more stable and settled home environment for children and young people.

All support will be offered as part of a structured intervention. The support will be agreed with parent/s and will focus on the specific needs they have identified, alongside the views of the child/young person and any other professionals involved with the family.

We offer a time limited targeted service which is held within the home.
