A social story is a short, descriptive story that helps children understand a specific social situation, skill, or concept. It is a description of a situation or skill in terms of relevant social cues and common responses. The social story explains what to expect, why it happens, and how to respond appropriately with a positive tone.
Explores how to use different sentence types to create a social story to support social situations.
