Being prepared for your upcoming Ofsted Inspection

This course is suitable for Childminders, Leaders and Managers of PVI’s across Early Years settings in Hounslow.;

The overall aim of the course is to ensure that Early Years Leaders are confident in:

Using the Ofsted Early Years Tool Kit.

Inspection planning;

Looking at an inspection from different points of view. As a Practitioner, Room Leader, Childminder and a Manager.;

A chance to ask questions about inspections.;

Looking at the gradings and the difference between grading descriptors.;

Evaluation of each area. What are you working on to improve and tweak.

On this course you will:

Learn about inspections, using the inspection handbook and the Ofsted EYFS toolkit.;

Look at the paperwork needed for inspection. What will inspectors check?

Discuss the role of the Nominated Individual.;

Look at Case Studies.;

Learn about the planning call.;

Looking at an inspection through the eyes of the children.;

Learn and discuss the Inclusion descriptor.;

Look at the grade descriptors and their differences.;

Discuss Exceptional.;
