Course Content
Part 1. Positive Interaction - Supporting and encouraging early language development
- Increase knowledge and understanding of how communication and attachment relationships develop from birth through life.
- Share the Traffic Light Postcards describing the Positive Interaction Strategies and the Communication Development Pyramid.
- Watch and analyse video footage of how these key interaction strategies can be used effectively to develop the emotional health and communication skills of all babies and young children
- Reflect on what is already happening in your own practice and identify an area that could be improved
Part 2. Emotionally Connected Interaction- are you receiving me?
- Increase understanding of how emotionally connected interactions impact on later life/behaviour and mental good health.
- Reflect on our own responses when supporting children struggling to emotionally regulate
- Be Inspired to try out some of the simple ideas and strategies shared
