We are a youth club for disabled young people, who seek to provide a safe, stimulating and engaging environment for anyone with a disability to meet up with their friends, take part in fun activities and learn social and life skills.
Juniors for 8 to 15yrs (alternate Fridays, 5.30-7pm) and Youth 15 to 25 year olds (every Friday, 7.30-9.30pm).
Both Clubs run from Ham Youth Centre.
Each week we have a theme and the evenings activities are based around that theme.
We have loads of activities including zorbing, simulators, laser gaming, soundbeam, magic carpet etc. We also have iPads and a radio station.
We have a very active Twitter account and have a Facebook page for each Club TAG Youth Club and TAG Junior Club and our own website.
TAG is a registered charity, independent of the council, we fundraise to enable our weekly activities. Each session costs £5
We work hard to be as inclusive as possible and as such TAG is a parent free zone - we want our members to experience their youth club as their peers do. Our Youth Workers are experienced and well trained and you can be confident in the support and care that we offer.
At present however our staff ratio does not allow for us to provide 1:1 support. If additional support is needed then this must be organised by the young person, parent or carer and provided by a third party.
