Youth Support

Anna Freud Centre
Waiting to hear about exam results and planning for your first year of university can be both an exciting yet stressful time for young people and their families. This year, the Anna Freud Centre are offering a series of free workshops for parents and carers to help them support their child before and after exam results day. They are also offering free workshops for young people transitioning to university to share strategies to support their mental health and wellbeing during this process.
Young Carers
Young carers are young people under 18 years who are looking after or supporting someone at home who, through illness, disability, substance dependency or mental health issues is unable to care for themselves.

The Hounslow young carers project offers support and advice to young carers as well as activities in the school holidays and a weekly youth club. The project is a chance for the young carers to have a break from their caring role and for them to meet other young carers who are in a similar situation.
