Emotionally Connected Interaction- are you receiving me?
Through a discussion and use of video, the vital role of the adult in providing opportunities for emotionally connected interaction, particularly during times of distress will be explored. Specific strategies will be modelled and shared for staff to think about how they respond to children during moments of upset and links will be made with this approach and attachment theory/neuroscientific research.
