Midsummer Park Children’s Centre has lots of activities and services available for parents and carers to come to with their children under five including:
Play and learn sessions where parents stay, have fun with their children, become involved with their children’s learning and help to prepare them for school.
Health information and sessions delivered by Health Team partners.
Parenting support (1-1 and courses).
Adult Education sessions and information and advice on employment and training.
We always try to provide a warm and friendly welcome and have become very busy since first opening in November 2011. You can just have fun and take part in the activities with your children but we can also offer you support and advice or information on a range of issues.
If you do have any questions or concerns regarding your children, you can speak to the Children’s Centre Practitioner at any of the sessions or if you need more time or wish to speak in confidence you can arrange a 1-1 appointment. We will help if we can or guide or refer you to the appropriate agency.
The entrance to our Children’s Centre is reached by walking through the gate (next to the bus stop) into Midsummer Park and following the path to the back of the park. Please do not try to come in through Wellington Day Centre’s car park and please note that unfortunately we do not have any parking for parents/carers.
We also have a Pre-school based here that has morning and afternoon sessions. For more details please see the entry in the childcare section of the Family Service Directory. Or you can email firstname.lastname@example.org or phone them directly (9:00 – 4:00 term time only) on 020 7998 6917
You should be able to download our latest activity timetable on the left hand side of this page to see what we are offering each week. If this is not present, please contact us and we can send one out to you or discuss what services are available.
