Bedfont Children's Centre
Have your say on under fives
Hounslow Council is running a 90 day consultation on the future of services and activities for under children under five years old and their families.
As part of this, we’re inviting parents and carers to share their views on our proposals by filling in questionnaires or attending focus groups, which will be held at every children’s centre. A full list of times and dates can be found at hounslow.gov.uk/underfives
We’re also holding drop-in sessions at the Civic Centre every week until the consultation ends on 17 October. Computers will be available to complete the online questionnaire and business support officers will be available to provide help and guidance.
- Mondays 10am to 12pm
- Wednesdays 12pm to 2pm
- Fridays 2pm to 4pm
Councillor Tom Bruce, Hounslow Council’s Cabinet Member for Education and Children’s Services said: “We’re holding the 90 day consultation so that we can use the views of parents and carers to shape the future of services and activities for under fives in our borough.
“We believe that our proposals for under fives which would see children’s centres service run from leisure centres and community groups are more cost effective and more convenient for residents.”
Bedfont Children’s Centre provides a warm and friendly welcome to children and families. Some of our sessions need to be booked in advance and some you can just drop into. If you want any information on any of them please call or email us and we can help. You can have fun and take part in the activities with your children but we can also offer you support and advice or information on a range of issues.
If you do have any questions or concerns regarding your children, you can speak to the Children’s Centre Practitioner at any of the sessions or if you need more time or wish to speak in confidence you can arrange a 1-1 appointment. We will help if we can or guide or refer you to the appropriate agency.
The entrance to our Children’s Centre is reached by walking through the entrance to Fairholme School and turning left through the car park. We are on the school site but have our own separate building and garden. Unfortunately we do not have any parking for parents/carers on the school site, so if you are driving please check parking restrictions on the roads near us.
The current activity timetable should be available for download to the left of this page. If this is not present, please contact us on the number below to have one sent out to you or discuss what services are available.
We were graded 'Good' in our most recent Ofsted inspection with some 'Outstanding' elements to our work with families. Click here to view the inspection report in full.
